Before lighting it up:
Place the candle on a stable surface, away from currents of air and flammable materials.
Use caution when lighting up the candle, preferably using a long lighter made specifically for candles.
Cut the wick slightly, making sure it is at least 1cm in length.
Also make sure that the wick is in an upright position before lighting. It is recommended to use a wick straightener.
Make sure that the candle wax is free from residues.
When the candle is lit:
Do not keep it lit for more than two hours.
Do not leave the candle unattended or move it while it is lit.
If two or more candles are used, place them at least 15cm apart.
When turning the candle off:
Ensure that the wax has melted all the way to the borders of the jar.
Turn off the candle using a candle snuffer. Do not pour liquids or blow on the candle.
Ensure that the wick does not bend towards the edges of the jar, if this happens, use a wick straightener to bring it back in upright position.
Straighten the wicks to the initial position.
